Final chapter--- I was thinking the grill was the best way in to the hood...but when I went back this AM enough voltage was available on the battery terminal to unlock the door.....I jumped it and drove off into the sunset to Sears to change the original SAAB battery...6 years old.......but the thing that got me was that I left the radio on so each time I attempted to turn the key to start the motor the antenna was drawing too much current to allow the engine to turn over...the radio system should have a built-in delay of 5 or 6 seconds to prevent the radio/antenna from operating when the car is attemped to be started...
