I have a similar problem but it is hard to describe. It sounds like a diesel engine, but it isn't to that magnitude or loudness. I guess you could say it is the combination of a tick, ping, and diesel engine sounds. We just changed the oil and we are using partial synthetic and we are gonna switch to 89 octane, up from 87. Any ideas on what it could be? Oh and it's not the knock you hear from an engine that hasn't had the oil changed in a while or no oil in it at all.
