...the answer to your question is no, it did not solve the problem (although the link was loose...I saw it myself) The noise is not that strong but its still there. The car is in the garage now...they took the suspension apart again!!! and tomorow I will know the outcome. The bill is up to $800 now (parts and labour) and I dont know how much more it will be. I did not replace the upper bearings that the struts are seating on, so maybe thats what it is although, the mechanic said that the bearings looked ok when taken out. I got the car into the garage early, so that they car get parts from the dealer if needed. I supplied the KYB upper mounts which come with some sort of a bearings. I thought that there was only one bearing in the strut mount. The mounts came with that bearing from tire-rack. Now the mechanis is telling me that there is another bearing which might need replacing...I was so pissed of the I got carried away and forgot to ask him what he was exactlly talking about. anyways, I hope tomorrow it will get solved.
Then, I went to the dealer and asked for a diagram to see how the break cable is passed but they said they dont have any diagrams for that and I should bring the car in if I want the cable to be routed correctly.
Then I went to the parts department and ask them for a seatbelt clip, the one that holds the seatbelt buckle from falling. its a plastic piece about 0.5 cm that should cost 0.00000000001 cents but they charge 8 dollars for it!!! anyways, I got the part but it takes a special tool to clip the plastic piece which they dont have since the tool costs too much money for them to invest into since they only sell a few of those clips....I was like what???????? how do you expect people to use them then.....and the response was: we sell our customers saturn clips which are not the same color or size but you dont need the tool...at that moment I was going to explode...so i just left. this is just to tell you that i had a really bad day today.
