As Dean said, they are best if you have a long term commitment with your car. They control the wheel very well.
One area not covered yet is the warrenty issue. They come with a lifetime warrenty. Let me say it is worth it. After six months I had to get back into the suspension and determined that the gas charge had leaked out of the dampers. I called Koni NA and the lady in charge of warrenty sent me out replacement dampers that day. Two days later I had dampers in hand and on my vehicle. I had two weeks to return the old dampers for root-cause analysis. If the leak was "my fault." they would have charged me 1/2 the cost of the dampers. They never charged me, but still 1/2 price is a good compromise if I had done something to the dampers. People might shy away due to a WARRENTY claim, but: 1. if I didn't disassemble the suspension I never would have known, the dampers worked just fine; 2. it really isn't all that unusual to have a damper problem, that is why they include warrenty.
As for adjustment, I use it on soft for city street driving. If I am on a smooth highway more damping seems to help, 1 turn. At low speeds the car gets a pogo-stick feel to it. BTW, I ahve Swedish Dynamics springs.
