Test drive? That is one of the problems. They claim that they made a test drive and found that everything was OK. Tried to argue with them about that, but it was like talking to a brick wall...
The clutch engages superbly for the 5 forward gears. It was replaced because it was completely shot (180,000km of not so kind driving and lots of traffic). The clutch used to be way hard and very high but has now come down closer to the floor and it is much easier to press. The clutch cable was replaced with the clutch. The shop did not open the tranny, just changed the oil. They replaced the oil with mineral oil as stated in the owner's manual (my car is 1994 with a 2.3 N/A engine)
I also think it is a linkage problem, as no grinding noise is heard when I do finally engage the reverse gear. Any specific area I should be looking at?
