it is also possable (happening to me) that the fixed point of the headlight system has popped out of the housing (ball-and-socket joint). They are held in with a black plug socket that looses it's ability to hold the ball.

The way to check it is remove the black cover on the rear of the light assembly, the one that accesses the bulb. Then grab the bulb without removing the holding clip. The reflector should NOT move any. It the pixed point is no longer engaged then the bulb and reflector will move up and down, hence the vertical aim problems. The fix is to remove the light assembly (rather easy), take the glass lens off (about 8 clips) and reattach the ball-and-socket.

I did this once and it worked for a couple of weeks. Then I fixed both but FUBARed one of the black holders. My solution was to JB Weld the ball into the black socket (the FUBARed one). One of the reflectors has subsequently fallen off again. Of course I cann't remember which one I glued. So I'll just have to take the problem light apart AGAIN and see if the glue worked. If it did I think I will attack the non functioning ball and socket joint with the JB Weld. Results to follow.
