Flushed everything, forward and backward till water ran clean, replaced hoses...
Nah, didn't have any overheating problems, just after reading the posts about which anti-freeze to use, the one thing I didn't want to see was "green stuff"...Don't know how long the wrong anti-freeze was in the car, we bought the car used...But, we're pretty sure the anti-freeze hadn't been in the car too long though, because the hoses looked like they had just been replaced and the amount of corrosion around the connections was minimal...Still, there is probably some loss of longevity concerning the water pump and radiator...
With a car like this, one would think that whoever owns it, would know enough to do things right...
People, this is important...There is a DEFINITE difference in the performance of various brands of anti-freeze...Spend the extra bucks, after all, you only need to replace the anti-freeze every five years...
With the right stuff, you will feel and hear the difference...
