Could be the gear cam itself or the synchro mesh. I am drawing experience based on a similar fault I had with another car.
If I am coorect, then you'll have to get the cheque book out and find the best deal for the repair. NG900 suffered several different gearbox faults. Repair by a specialst is the best option, since they are likely to fit a few modified parts that SAAB added to later gearboxes. So called new gearboxes are not always fitted with these parts.
