The '94s were the first model year, and have the most problems of any years. Most people here suggest buying '97 and newer.
Beyond this, the V6 are prone to timing belt problems. It has to be replaced every 30,000 miles. I would do some searches on v6's in this BB for more information. There have been some similar questions to yours before. BTW, the v6 is an Opel power plant, not Saab.
I know that some people here say to stay away from pre '96 or '97 900s and also to stay away from the V6. If the car is an excellent deal, you might consider it, banking on the fact that you will have to spend some money to keep it going.
I spent $8000 CAD ($5000 USD) for my '96 900 ST (221000 km) last June. Looking back on it, I probably should have paid $500 to $1000 less. I wouldn't want to spend any more than $4000 to $5000 CAD for a '94 V6. Your mileage was in km, are you in Canada or Europe?
