Your decision should be contingent upon what you want and how much you are willing to spend in maintenance. You could get the cheap '95 900SE V6, have the SE options, and the money you spend on maintenance will 1) be more than that of the '97 2) be more annoying 3) but you will have a "nicer" car with more options (although I don't particularly care for the SE options). If I were you, I would get the 1997 900S, or find a '95 or '96 900SE turbo (or find a later year, but price will of course increase.) I really would suggest that you stay away from the V6, but if you want the SE and the 6 cylinders, then go for it but be prepared for $$$. Ideally, you should get a '95-'97 900SE turbo, any body style. (I would always take turbo over more cylinders.) However, if the three Saabs you mentioned are really nice, then just pick from those three. There is a possibility that you could have very few problems with the V6, but I'm sure you would rather be safe than sorry. Make sure you drive each of these cars - I only say that because, believe it or not, I've had friends/heard of people who've bought cars without driving them first. By the way, I have a 1995 900S with 55K that I absolutely adore.
