Supposedly Saab is working on one for the future. No doubt they could easily just get one from Opel(GM), the same place they got the V6 and the 9-5 chassis from, but I guess they don't think it will sell.

Unlike other european auto mfgrs, Saab's primary market is the USA, and we don't like diesels here for some reason. Probably b/c gas is cheap here and you have to know something to work on a diesel engine (lack of formal education for auto mechanics in USA...unlike Europe). If we see gas prices get to European levels, we'll see a heck of alot more being sold.
