1) prise off the tailgate opening button and disconnect wiring
2) prise cover from door handle and undo the screw and unclip the handle
3) using a screwdriver inserted at the front of the mirror trim panel, prise out the paned and disconnect the wiring
4) prise the cover from the door pull and undo the screws
5) undo the screws at the bottom of the door
6) remove the clip from the rear edge of the trim panel by depressing the centre pin
7) using a wide blade screwdriver, prise out the clips
8) with the clips released, lift the trim over the locking button
9) pull the membranes from the door as necessary
some special things i found while doing this:
1) there was no clip on the rear edge of the panel.
2) you dont have to take the mirror plastic off, but it sure makes it alot easier
3) start with the passenger side first, if you screw up its not as critical as the drivers side door
4) the door handle takes quite a bit of finagling to get it off and then back on. just pull the handle open and twist around. eventually you will get it right and it will just fall out. the plastic is prteey durable, so dont be too worried about breaking it.
good luck!
