Cold start/electrical pulsing Posted by Andy [Email] (#759) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Andy) on Wed, 2 Jan 2002 17:57:07 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Just experienced an odd cold weather starting issue. Haven't had any problems with cold weather to date but maybe someone can tell me what might be going on.
My '95 900S was outside overnight with temps in the mid teens. By mid afternoon the temp was around 26 degrees. The car started with a second or two of cranking but all the electrical systems started pulsating as soon as the engine was running. The headlights, SID, and dashboard illumination all started cycling from bright to dim. After warming up for a couple minutes it suddenly stopped. Changing engine RPM during the pulsing did not effect the frequency of the pulses.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Andy
