I have owned the car for 7 months. I had the clutch cable replaced the first two weeks I had it, as it snapped. I came back to the car after leaving it parked for the day and the cable was snapped - I never *felt* it go. Other than that I never had a clutch issue untill I installed the MBC. Then, almost immediately, I noticed slipping. At first I thought it was fuel cut-out or somesuch, but it didn't really seem the same as fuel cut-out as was described on this BB.
I can make it slip in third gear.
I am not really blameing the MBC - the clutch was probably on the way out - this just illuminated the problem earlier. Since I want to put an upgraded ECU in, I thought about mabe getting something beefier.
I don't think my driving habits are abusive. I do downshift at stops though.
