...of NG Saabers that have had AC problems. Usually of the leaky sort. If you have a leak (don't rule out an electrical problem also), the least expensive items to look at are the schrader valves (look like tire valves on the high and low pressure inlets. The low is on the driver's side near the grill-- exposed when you open the hood. The high is behind the grill-- remove to see. There is also a sight glass there which should appear bright green, with no bubbles floating through if the unit is charged fully with refrigerant. This sight glass can sometimes leak also. Other common leak areas are hoses, and the dreaded yet all too common evaporator core, which is about a $1300 fix. UGH. The best thing to do is have a reputable dealer give it a partial charge, and go over it with a leak detector. By the way, the compressor won't kick on if the refrigerant charge is too low.
I'm sure the others on the board will fill you in on common relay/switch/electrical/thermostat problems.
