There is a $35 MBC at http://www.dawesdevices.com

K&N 33-2663 for the air box, 1994 thru 1999 NG900's.

For REM's air box mod: get grey thin walled PVC electrical conduit. Do not use drainwater pipe. Some pipe for soil drainage might be suitably thinwalled. Someone did use 1/4" thick pipe!

If you do these things, you will find that your bypass valve will make silly noises. You will have to replace it with a metal piston type unit. There were some reports about reversing the orientation of the OEM plastic unit not makeing these noises. You might try that. Nothing that you have to deal with now.

Consider the low restriction exhaust to keep combustion chamber temperatures down. You will have defeated the ECU's ability to avoid knocking by reducing the boost. (This is only needed with crappy fuel or other improper conditions.) This is a standard encouragement with practical and theroetical backing. No one has reported any problems. I think that most MBC installs have low restriction exhausts.
