The dawes is the least expensive and there is not evidence that the HBC is any better. The dawes is, mostly for those reasons, the most widely used on this BB. So i have the HBC and have not tried the dawes.
I have a MBC in my parts box. I tried a TurboXS HP-MBC to see if it would work better with cold weather. Perhaps not a problem in Florida.
The location of the MBC's pressure tap has effects that are more significant than any of the brand to brand differences.
The imporvement with an MBC in hot humid weather will be very pronouced because it will overcome much of the turbo lag built into the control system, which is even more sluggish in hot humid weather.
