I changed mine at 108000 miles as preventive maitenance. I spliced in a Bosch 3 wire unit that was for another application, and around $50 instead of from the dealer with the Saab specific wire length and connector for over $200US. I was not experiencing any problems of any sort, and the new one made no difference to mpg's or power etc. I think that I could put the old sensor back in service with no problems, other than the work to do it.
My logic in doing the replacement was to get a new unit at my cost and time of choosing instead of at dealer prices plus labor if it went bad.
The 3 wire units have a heater in them so that the air fuel mixture goes to closed loop control sooner. This reduces emissions and also protects the O2 sensor and cat from fouling up. The one wire units did not last as well!
With good fuels they may last a very long time. Canadian fuels are thought to be harder on the sensors.
So don't worry about it.
