900s alignment or drive torque?

My '94 900 pulls to the right when accelerating. When letting off gas, it corrects back to left. My alignment guy says he has the car in perfect alignment. He is blaming it on something he's calling front wheel drive torque? he saying since one front axle (right in this case) is longer than left front axle, sometimes this can cause car to "torque" or pull one way. Seems to me that it would be to the left in this case though if it were true since left is shorter. has anyone ever heard of this? is it complete BS? anyone else with a 94-98 900 have any problems with car pulling to side? to confuse matters, I recently had a new clutch put in. And brand new tires. to check the tires I switched the front left to right but the pull is still there.
