In Dublin Ireland.
Don't they set back odometers/mileometers everywhere?
before buying I checked out the car's history fully and suspected 'clocking'. My suspicions were aroused by a service done on the first working day of the year which seemd to indicate very few miles done subsequently. However I was able to go back through all the service records and saw that the service had actually been done a year later than I thought - in other words the dealer wrote up the invoice and accidentally dated it 1998 instead of 1999 - understandable as it was the very first working day. It also then fit exactly into the overall mileage/service pattern.
Dublin is not well equipped with motorways/highways and until the last few years suffer an awful lot of bad potholed roads.
The 17 inch wheels do give a very harsh ride so I think they combine with bad roads to cause excessive wear & tear.
Thanks
Nab
