I tapped the 12 volt lighting for the headlight switch. It was easy to remove the headlight switch to get at the wiring.
I used the 1/8" nylon tubing kit for my VDO boost gage. I tee'd off the boost pressure-release valve line using a 5/32 nylon tee. I used ty-wraps and silicone RTV to attach the 1/8" nylon tubing to a short section of 3.5 MM vacuum tubing that then attached to the tee. I also put a sleeve of 4MM vacuum tubing over the 1/8 nylon tubing to protect it as it ran from the intake manifold through the fiewall. I ran the tubing thru the rubber grommet in the firewall that the clutch would normally use (my car is an automatic).
I then fished the 12 volt wiring and the 1/8 ylon tubing up through the driver's side front radio speaker hole so I could mount the boost gage next to the driver's A-pillar.
