First things first, Saab's are front wheel drive which automatically makes them susceptible to what's known as torque steer...What this means is, one
wheel in the front drive system will have more grabbing power than the other, thereby causing a sensation of the vehicle traveling in a different direction than intended...There is also another phenomenon referred to as "plowing", going into an apex at a relatively fast pace in a front wheel drive vehicle, the weight of the vehicle shifts to the outermost wheel causing the vehicle to nose dive, traction is lost on the inner most wheel creating a sensation that the outer wheel is "scrubbing"...Bump steer could very well be associated with "scrubbing" as the vehicle has reached it's furthest downward position ie, you're riding on the bump stops, the car then rebounds and is thrown up and through it's intended course with little or no wheel adhesion...In high performance front wheel drive vehicles, these issues are usually addressed by installing stiffer springs, lowering the center of gravity, installation of high performance shocks, adding firmer bushings everywhere they can be added, and not least, the installation of thicker "anti-roll" bars in the front and back of the vehicle...Ideally, this would also include larger wheels...

Wheels have a tremendous influence on the steering geometry, the bigger they are, the stiffer they are, thus, they do not absorb impact (bumps) and the impact is dirctly transmitted to the suspension system...If one has not gone through the process of changing the other suspension components, then it's best to stay with wheels that are of stock proportions...
