Hello,
I have done a search in the archives and would like to make sure a couple of things. One, there does not seem to be an OEM part for the distributor internal O-ring that is leaking on my 97 900S 2.3. I have to buy a new distributor (this is what my independent mechanic told me and I could not believe it so I checked the bible - saabnet!) it looks like but.... Has anyone had any success in replacing the internal seal (if so manufacturer and P/N would be appreciated - or at least if someone knows what material the seal is made - I can do some research and perhaps find a close fit). If I have to buy a new distrubutor, any recommendations on vendors (cybertroll?) instead of paying the price of the dealer in SD (MKB now). I guess for the time being I will wipe the excess oil from the coolant lines, but need to get this fixed - also is it a DIY job in people's opinions?
Thanks for the responses.
Ed
