I ran that way for a while, while in denial that my shocks were worn out.
I was getting high speed steering aritacts/instabilities in fast lane changes. The shocks were allowing faster rates of body sway which does affect the steering geometry of course. SAS fixed that and conviced me that my shocks were the cause... mean while my upper strut mounts were going too...
You did not speak of your model/year/miles etc. With 100K on the shocks, you are in for some maintenace, but with the right choices, you will find that your vehicle can steer and corner beyond perhaps wild expectations. Getting there is half the fun as they say. I am not saying that things are cheap. If your vehicle is running well, then you can make some investments for the long haul, and have a vehicle that handles better than an new 9-3. So it is a commitment type of thing.
If you really have fun driving your Saab, then the best is in store.
search and read deans<underscore>list for possibilities
drs<underscore>install if you want to read about installing things your self
the VRK is something that you probably want someone else to install for you, unless you have a hydraulic press in the garage :)
I am hanging out in Canada for the rest of this week. The trip from Kansas was good. 29mpg-US with strong south cross winds and over 33 when headed north with tail winds.
95SET, 144000 miles, VRK, SAS, Koni's, MBC and see the list :)
