Question for REM

I fitted my/our 1996 900SET with the Saab stainless after my stock unit was overcome with cancer (rust). My wife thought that the car was running without any exhaust, but has grown to live with it. I like the sound when pushing the car, but it could be quieter without losing power. I have thought about fitting a resonator tube, but have never found one to fit. What size diameter did you go with (not the inlet/outlet pipe, rather the O.D of the can/tube itself? I understand you went with a aluminized until, but I determined to find something stainless and will weld it in.
Looking forward to your response.
Thanks and regards
