Front brakes on a NG900 are a piece of cake! They are super-easy to do.
I would question the need for new rotors in the first place. Do you get vibration at the brake pedal when applying the brakes? Do they have deep grooves? If not, then just rough them up a little with emery cloth and that's it.
You can get a set of good German pads for under $50, plus you need some caliper grease (Permatex, $1.99 at PepBoys) and some anti-rattle compound (Permatex, CRC, Wurth, etc. $0.99-$1.99 at local stores) to do the job right.
If you want to replace the rotors ($40-$60 each for quality German rotors), use an impact screwdriver to remove the retaining screws ($20 at HomeDepot). Don't even try it with a regular screwdriver or you'll run the risk of stripping them.
Figure 2 hours for the first time you do it. And use jack stands!
