Saab has a very specific maintenance schedule which is in your maintenance handbook (should be in your car unless someone took it out). This includes each interval rom 0-120K miles and what parts should be checked, changed, cleaned, etc each time. Saab's "Major service" intervals are at 35K, 65K, 95K, and 125K...etc. This includes replacement of spark plugs, cap and rotor (non-turbo only), fuel and air filters, cabin air filter, new coolant and thermostat, transmission oil change, brake fluid flush/replace, and a long list of items to check function of including clutch (if manual) suspension parts, etc.
I would only recommend NGK brand plugs. You can source all these parts OEM spec at reasonable prices from our site parts sponsors such as http://www.eeuroparts.com or http://www.thesaabsite.com
You can get a print out of your car's service history at any Saab dealership. They can simply enter the VIN number in their computer network and print off all the service performed on the car at a Saab dealer. If they tell you they can't or won't, be persistent...they're just being lazy.
Hope this helps,
Nick
