As more miles you drive per year, or actually per startup of engine, the longer the engine is going to last. Because the oil hardly gets a chance to cool down, which is good.
I use to work at a taxi cab shop in Sweden and when you took the valvecover of the engine it was spotless in there. The car just changed driver over a 24 hour day so the engine never stopped. You got a lot of miles out of them and I wouldn't worry a second to buy a car like that.
The worst scenario is when you have a low mileage car with a lot of years on it's neck. It could be a ticking bomb for the next owner.
Coolant that maybe never have been changed or brakefluid too. And lots of coldstarts where the engine maybe never got a chance to reach working temperature.
