Deanster to the rescue,
I'll check for a smell, nothing stands out right now, what would the coolant smell like? I though I had rotten egg smell, but only once. After I installed, I left a wire harness (right rear of engine) and a smaller hose unhooked, which caused rough idle then stalling, I only drove about 1 mile before I caught and fixed that. Otherwise, the hoses looked in good shape. I will probably re-check all the connections, just because I'm paranoid that I hooked them up too loosely, maybe there's a slight leak somewhere.
Start up, idle and acceleration seem better than before, smoother. The plugs from the rear were uniformly medium gray. Some oil spilled into the plug hole when I was changing, but that should have burned off by now?
The difference in mpg is so slight, and has been consistent for the past week, and the only change is the new plugs, I'm on the same tank of gas, so I figured that must be the culprit. The NGK's have a two-prong thingey, which I thought better than trying to gap, b/c neither one comes over the center of the plug.
Can I get a new tool anyway?
