She's sprung an oil leak!

After a recent trip back from the Smokey Mountains and parking my 94 900SE turbo I noticed lots of oil on the driveway. After raising the car I found a significant amount of oil around the bell housing and axle on the passenger side. The oil is most prominent around the plate where the passenger axle is.
Is this a common place to find an oil leak? It is engine oil, not transmission. I've wiped all the nasty stuff off and plan on driving the car for a few days to get a better location of the leak.
Any ideas or a good starting point. My car has 155,000+ on it. Not sure if the clutch was ever replaced, but it doesn't show any signs of wear. If this is the location of the seal that needs to be replaced, is this a big job for a very mechanically inclined DIY'er?
Thanks!
Scott
