The one sitting between the two cylinder banks have always two ridges/support walls so that the belt can't slip off.
The pulley the left (the tensioning one ) have only one inner support wall if it is the first generation.
That's how far I can help you, BUT !! it have been 3 or 4 updates all together and one of the middle updates have the dubbel sided tensioner pulley but not the thicker aluminum bracket that holds the two pulleys, that the very latest update have.
Let me tell you a story about leaving cover off.
One Saab came in with noisy timing belt. It had been replaced at the dealer but the tensioner hadn't. The tensioner pulley had stopped moving and sat at the same position disregarding what the belt did.
When I took the cover off and rotated the engine by hand the belt slipped several teeth. I couldn't first understand why the engine could run into the shop with the timing belt so loose, but realized later that the only thing holding the belt onto the sprockets was the tight fit of the cover, ( not allowing the belt to jump the teeth)
