There 1s a magnetic switch on the out side of the bottle and a float with a magnet on the inside. You need to check the level when cold. Acceleration with low fluid will cause the sensor to signal. After the engine gets warm it will not happen again. So the level may be down slightly.
Your reservoir bottle may be gunked up so you can't see the level very well.
