I never smelled gas in the cockpit itself, only outside when I was doing the plugs and gaskets, but I could see how the smell would seep into the cabin through the vents in front of the window. There may be more leakers out there, but the black cap is keeping the gas under pressure, perhaps others will check and give feedback. My cap broke when I tried to screw it down w/ a screwdriver; the new caps I bought, with an o-ring, said hand tighten only. The core was loose when I removed it. Thanks for the feedback on the longevity of the tire core.
What are you doing over here on the NG900? I searched the bb and found your post after Anders told me what the thing was and what it was for; your legacy lives on. There doesn't seem to be a lot of v6'ers out there.
