Yeah, that sounds familar. My Dad's 95 SET did that once and a while.
His '95 had a few problems, mostly little thing like the covers over the mirrors one the visors would fall off, the plastic gear-shift pattern would pop off, and a groan in the steering wheel (bad bushing).
However, it is no longer (RIP). Parking brake failed (or was failed to be put on whatever) and it rolled back into a house (no one was hurt).
