since my wife decided to wait three days to tell me the a/c wasn't working so I get to ask this during the Carolina game. The a/c compressor was leaking oil from the low pressure side connector, there appears to be a bolt w/crush ring, oil coming from underneath. I figure I will remove the bolt, clean the threads / housing, new o-ring and crush ring, replace. Questions:
1. How do I drain the oil so I can be sure to add the correct amount?
2. Where do I add the oil?
3. Can I do this w/o removing the compressor, or should I remove it, and is it easy.
4. I need to drain then recharge the system, don't I?
Alldata cannot answer these questions, although it gives removal instructions and some part information.
Thanks again, BB
