search for drs<underscore>install and look for stut install and upper mount install posts.

To eval the mounts, open the hood, engine off, move the steering wheel back and forth just just enough to get to the point where the tire will want to scrubb on the pavement. So working the wheel back and forth that small amount, watch the shock shaft. If the mount is bad, you will see quite a bit of movement of the top of the shaft.

For all the effort or paid labor to replace the mount, you might as well replace the shocks too as you have to remove the strut, and then compress the spring and remove the mount. Replacing the shock only one more step.

Your wheel shakes could be made worse with bad mounts, but bad mounts will not cause wheel shakes. A bent wheel can be balanced spinning in the air and will shake rolling on the road. Problem wheels and tires can oftem run much better when balanced on a Hunter GSP 9700 balancing machine. That machine will detect bent wheels but cannot make fit a square peg into a round hole.
