Fan comes on regularly. I can hear it running sometimes at stoplights, and it tends to run for 2-3 minutes after shutdown - maybe longer than before. Speed of fan does seem to decrease markedly when I turn off the engine, though. Reminds me of my OG 900s (82, 87S, 88S) where there were two fans - one for the A/C I guess.
This morning coming in to work (mostly downhill and cool today) needle stayed at 9pm. I'm guessing the sensor is OK; will check your post on changing the stat myself - but my thermostat-changing days were mostly back in the age when you could see the housing (like on my '69 Datsun 510 or '74 Opel Sportwagon) without needing a bright light and a big dentist's mirror to find it.
Any point in accelerating the oil change (Mobil One 10w-30 with about 3500 miles done) after a few hours running hot like that?
Thanks
