just peel it off before you take off. It also works great to get the hair off fabric too. Plus, theres nothing more funny than watching a sour-faced cat with a wad of tape stuck to it! (ok well there are probably a few things more funny..)
Maybe send some literature to your landlord about how he should keep his pets inside.....
