I installed the MBC

Dean and others,
I made my own MBC from the information provided from another web site. It's the same exact thing as the Dawes unit, but costs under $20. I will say that with a 1996 900 SET with 185 hp it has transformed the car into a very quick, easier to drive car. Anyone looking for increased performance boost should seriousely consider this upgrade. I was going to buy the expensive ECU upgrade, but after seeing prices from $500 - $1,100 and still having the ECU pull back boost (yes, Trionic still limits the fun factor), I opted for the MBC.
The MBC provides full boost in all gears and anyone that knows how to drive a spirited car can figure out how to launch. Second gear up is sheer joy.
Anyone running a modified ECU note that there are some running the MBC with the ECU upgrade and it reduces turbo spool lag. Based on what I've experienced (in two cars) with this upgrade I find it very rewarding.
Dean - I would like to thank you for saving me the difference in the MBC over the ECU mod. I almost spent the money for the ECU upgrade. Sorry, I'm not going to refund you anything because I'm applying it toward the swaybar and other items. You still do get the credit though.
Regards,
David M
