About three weeks ago I had new sprimgs and shocks, the VRK and the viggen intercooler installed in my 95 900SE by a local dealer. I have been running an Abbott ECU in the car for the last several years with no problems. other mods are 3" downpipe, 2.5 cat back, K&N and 3 airbox pipe.

On the way home from the dealer I cranked the boost and things were great (half way into red) until the intercooler discharge hose separated because of a poorly made modification to lengthen the hose to fit the new intercoler. The piece of pipe used to lengthen the hose was only about an inch long and too short for the clamps to really grip. The hose just wouldn't hold. The hose subsequently popped out several times over the next few days even as I tried to drive with no boost making the turbo scream. Got the correct intercooler discharge hose this week and installed it on thursday. The turbo is louder than before however my boost behavior is strange and not right.

the car has driven well since new 7+ years ago... always boosted strongly into the red since the Abbott ECU except with a failing dump valve

the problem

When I floor it WOT, the boost is slow to build...steadily increasing until the yellow/red transition at 4500rpm+. Never actually going into the red zone. Very slow to respond especially since the addition of the downpipe.

Normally, I get peak boost_- half into red at 3000-3500 rpm and then slow taper as the revs climb.

I have checked

1) all the hosing and clamps from the turbo to the trottle body

2) the three line around the BCP

3) the vacuum line from the dump valve to the throttle body

and can't find anything wrong.

spark plugs were new 4000 miles ago?

any thoughts would be appreciated.

Did I f...up my turbo by driving my car last week?
