No, MBC is correctly hooked up, and like I said - it was the only "mod" that made any difference. But the difference was not all that great when set to run just under fuel cutoff level. If you don't mind the occasional fuel cutoff, of course you can get more out of it, but I for one found it dangerous - for example fuel cutoff when passing a car on the highway. Or at the least, embarassing.

My guess (no dyno)is that the MBC will safely (set just below fuel cutoff level) provide enough boost to give you up to another 20-25hp or so. The biggest benefit seems to be quicker spoolup allowing me to be in a higher gear around town, which is probably why my gas mileage has increased (I never expected THIS as a benefit) around 10% with the MBC. Don't get me wrong, all in all the MBC was well worth the money, the other stuff, however just didn't seem to make any difference at all (once you got over the feel good aspects of spending money and working on your car). It would be interesting to see how well the MBC works on a car WITHOUT the ported TB, K&N, modified airbox, and Sport Exhaust. Maybe the Viggen intercooler would be the ticket. But the smart money will go into the true weaknesses of these cars - the suspension/steering hardware.

I also put a Dawes MBC on my wife's Audi TT Roadster (6 spd.) which has a tiny engine with a relatively big turbo and two factory intercoolers, (1.8 litre engine with 225 hp). I set it just below fuel cutoff level. She loves it because of the quicker spool up means less fishing around for the right gear in traffic, doesn't seem much too much quicker, but anytime you can put a smile on her face for a mere 35 bucks...and I can quickly restore it should any warranty issues arise.
