Model: Saab 900 SE Convertible 1995
A while ago the closing mechanism of my saab convertible malfunctioned in the middle of closing the top. Using the lever behind the back seats I have released the closing mechanism and I have closed the top manually.
The reason for the malfunction turned out to be a broken wire of the sensor at rear end at the passengers side. After repairing this I had expected that the top would function normally. However it does not. I can close the top automatically, but it won't re-open. Also the plastic cover of the top does no longer close or open automatically and the top does not lock at the rear end after closing.
It looks like a synchronisation problem.
-Are such problems common after manually operating the roof?
-Is there a way to reset the system?
-Any other suggestions?
Any help is appreciated, Nanne
