refueling and stalling at idle

Last week I posted my observations about a stalling problem that seemed to occur within a few miles after filling the tank. The dealer seemed to disregard my theories about fuel supply and evap valve problems. Instead, he chaged the DI cassette and spark plugs claiming that it misfired when they were testing it. A second visit to the same dealer resulted in discovery of a "wire harness" fault, which they "fixed". I was not sure how such a problem could have caused the initial symptoms.
Upon reviewing the owner's manuel, it stated that "if you begin to to notice a problem with the way your car starts or runs shortly after it has been refueled, try a different brand of gas"...Yesterday I took this advice and used Shell 93 instead of my usual Sunoco 94. My feeling is that the car became more normal-like. It did not stall this time.
My question is whether others have experienced a similar situation with particular fuel brands, and where could one find some information about the specs of these fuels and the types of additives used in them in the US.
Any feedback is much appreciated.
Regards
