...in the tread design along the outer tread blocks. The outer blocks now have a "stripe" of rubber connecting them along the entire circumference. This "stripe" is about 5mm wide (maybe 1/4 inch) and is on the outer and inner circumference.
The older RE730s I had didn't have this; the blocks were freestanding with no connection. This must be the change they are describing on the Tire Rack website.
I contacted Bridgestone/Firestone Canada with my problem and was directed to a local tire dealer. They in turn recommended an individual at Brigestone/Firestone whom I contacted and had the issue resolved. Within one week of speaking to him he had sent out a set of the new tires to another dealer and had them installed at no cost to me.
Overall, excellent customer service. I still have to write a thank you letter for the quick and satisfactory resolution he provided.
Hope things work out for you.
Regards,
Theo
