and Bridgestone/Firestone's attitude about it will keep me away from testing these waters ever again. The local dealer did nothing about it, and either did Firestone. I went through the Firestone ATX debaucle on my Explorer, and the Firestone FR-whatever mess back in the late 70's on a Monte Carlo. In both cases defective, shredded tires were the result and Firestone didn't want to do anything about it, "road hazard" they said. Three times is plenty for me.
I guess they heard us bitching about it (you should see the Tire Rack ownwer's comments on the RE-730) BECAUSE THEY RECREATED THE TIRE AS REV.2. If they had any sense at all they would have dropped the RE-730 monniker and came up with a new name for the damn things. No wonder they got in hot water with Ford. There are plenty of companies selling good products out there to deal with these people. They deserve to be history.
