I love my '95 V6 900SEC, but to say it has been expensive over the last four years and high maintenance would be an understatement.
Check the maintenance records to make sure the timing belt has been changed on schedule - if not then get it done ASAP before you buy - it's probably out of warranty. SAAB pays for the first three changes, but they're supposed to be done at 30K intervals.
If the top motor hasn't been replaced, it will probably need to be soon.
Check the records for a/c repairs - they're known for failure and major dollars to repair.
Also check the rims - they might be bent. This is a common problem and I ended up having to replace mine.
I could give you a detailed list, but it would be quite extensive and boring.
Plan on constantly watching the car for both minor and major problems. If you keep on them every few months they can be managed, but if you let the car go for longer than a year you could be looking at a long list of expensive items. Goldwing.com is a good sources for used parts that can save big $$$$$$.
As I said erlier, I love my car and plan on keeping it for a long time (knock on wood) - but it has been a love/hate relationship, to say the least.
Good luck with your decision and let me know if I can provide any more info.
Ron
