Hi
I disagree, the V6 is a great car as long as it is well maintained - just like any other vehicle! All the normal things apply such as service history, etc. Make sure the cambelt has been changed at the appropriate intervals as it can fail but don't let the general paranoia over this cloud your decision. A great deal of it is just bigotry from the so called 'classic 900' bunch. I know that the early models had cam belt problems but by now they all should have had the mods fitted and the repalcement interval is no different to any other car with belt driven cams.
Performance is excellent (a match for 328's and 900 turbo's)
Ride is a little choppy (not as good as the 'classic' 900 in my opinion)
Fuel consumption isn't that great - about 25mpg average
Eats front tyres
Not the cheapest car on the planet to maintain.
Definately worth a look at.
