I used the hose clamp on mine and it works fine here in New Mexico with the kind of weather we have the top has been up and down a couple of times a day for the past 3-4 months costs less than 5 bucks and less than half an hour , I used two 3" hose clamps fixed together and looped them around the motor and the bracket in front of the motor being carefull not to catch any wires in it and tightened it down nice an snug, I didnt remove the whole trunk liner i just pulled enough away so that I could get at the bracket and the motor works like a charm now
