I posted an original mssg last Friday, and got advice from dreeder on the hose clamp repair to the motor/gearbox on the convert. I got ambitous and completed the fix just now. Couple things to note - I have a 98 SETC, and assumed the TSB support kit was installed that year (called the Saab parts guy and he said all 98s should have it on). Mine appears not; no added bracket on the pivot point hinge. If you position yourself inside trunk looking up at the mechanism (contortionist's repair job...), I actually saw the motor mount twisted in relation to the gear box mount. This is surprising because the motor mount unit appears to be cast aluminum. But, the motor gear was certainly angled slightly from the gearbox when engaged. Installed the 3" hoseclamp around the assembly, brought it very tight, and saw it align a bit better. Tested up/down 3 times straight - silent running. Few more tests and if good, the trunk liner goes on Saturday. First reoccurance and on goes the dealer reinforcement kit, but sounds perfect now. Many thanks to the Board, and especially dreeder!!!
