The headlight leveler just snaps right out. It's held in there by a couple clips.
I debadged my car about a year ago. Its a '97, so there was a bit of fading, but I used some of that paint-colored wax (I think turtle wax makes it) and you could barely notice any scratches or fading after that. Be sure to use a hair dryer to soften up the adhesive before you use the floss.
I still have the yellow turn bulb in there. You can see it, but only from straight ahead. I've heard of silver bulbs. Some people spray a little bit of silver paint over the yellow bulb, but it can burn off and ruin the bulb if it's not high temp paint.
I think the smoked side markers make a big difference on a black car. esp. if you've cleared your corner markers.
